I'm about to start a modded run of New Vegas (only played on consoles before). From what I understand, Nexus Mod Manager interfaces with the website, while Fallout Mod Manager interfaces with the game, right?So what I would need to do is download the script extender, download fallout mod manager, download whatever mods I want, and then open up fallout mod manager to load them up. Are the two managers going to conflict? Should I just use one instead of the other? If so, which one is better?.
Nexus Mod Manager and Fallout Mod Manager both 'interface with the game', as you put it. To most players, the two mod managers offer pretty much identical levels of functionality. Basically, both of them load your mod files into your game, in a specific order (known as a load order). However, Nexus Mod Manager has the added advantage of being closely integrated with the Nexus site, thus allowing stuff like one-click download and installation of mods.As a result, you only need to pick one or the other. Personally, I used to use FMM, but switched to NMM for its one-click downloads, and I've never looked back.
