Add Google Drive As A Network Location
Redownload everything (works but a pain if you have 50GB on Google Drive as I do); 2. Move the files, but this doesn't work for a lot of people (including me). In the end it appears there's no solution that just lets you locally move the folder location and not cause Google to redownload everything. – fantabolous Aug 19 '14 at 3:42.

Are there any other options that I may have missed?Just so I understand properly. You have Google Drive installed - it is (as example) c:GoogleDriveYou want to make it a new drive so you attempted to subst it - subst g: c:GoogleDrive making g: point to c:GoogleDriveThis didn't work? What errors did you get? Advanced systemcare 11. How do you know it didn't work?Am I even close to what you tried? OK - so you have a network drive - that you want to sync with g: (subst mapped to 'c:usersNAMEgoogle drive').You will need to copy the contents from to g: for it to sync. I don't know of a way to setup the google drive folder on a network share - unless you install google drive on the network share server, create (or move) the network shared folder under (or as ) the google drive folder and (has to be done with dropbox) login to the server locally with the proper credentials (or have the google drive service start without a login).
Google Drive Download Windows 10
This worked for us:subst Q: 'c:users%username%Google Drive'We used a script to give the google drive a letter designation and point home folders to that drive. The issue we are working right now are: How to automate the Google Drive install and How to implement without re-starts.We have the batch file running at log-off so they have a chance to install G drive at their first login. Another issue we are running into; sometimes the user profile adds the domain at the end (c:users%username%.pec-birds) When this happens, we have to delete that profile..
